Saxophone Repair Services Offered:
A comprehensive repad service will bring your instrument to a “like-new” condition. With a sax repad, your instrument is fully disassembled and cleaned. All pads and corks are removed and replaced, along with any necessary springs. Basic keyfitting and minor functional dentwork is included. The saxophone is reassembled, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested. Your saxophone is guaranteed to play like-new when it leaves our shop!
In addition to all above work pertaining to the saxophone repad, this specialized service includes virtually every repair to make your saxophone truly new. All springs are replaced, all dents are removed, and in some cases lacquer may be touched up or replaced. Every key is precision fit, toneholes are leveled if required, and the saxophone should leave our shop in better condition than when it was brand new.
A saxophone clean-oil-adjust, or COA, involves most of the work done in a repad minus the actual pad replacement. If you’ve had your pads replaced within the last few years, and all are still in great shape, this is a great way to extend the life of your saxophone repad.
A clean/oil/adjust repair includes disassembly of the keywork mechanism, cleaning and replacing oil, reassembling, and adjusting as needed along the way. As there are little to no material costs, we pass the savings onto you with this complete repair. Your saxophone will play as if it was recently repadded.
A “Play Condition,” “Playing Condition,” or “PC” repair is just that–a partial repair to make your saxophone playable. While available for most cases, this repair option is subject to initial inspection. For instance–if almost all the pads are worn, a repad may be the way to go.
A standard Play Condition repair includes any minor adjustments as needed, and replacement of some pads/corks where required.
Your saxophone may not look or feel “like new,” but it will be guaranteed to play after this cost-effective repair.
Also referred to as an “A&R,” a saxophone regulation and adjustment repair may be all your instrument needs! For instruments in good playing condition, some minor adjustments may be just what it needs to feel like you just got an overhaul. It is very common for pads, corks, and felts to settle and compress over time. An A&R repair, subject to evaluation/inspection, may be the most cost effective way to get your instrument back into GREAT playing condition.
Need your saxophone neck cork replaced? Maybe just one sticky pad? Looking to have palm key risers installed? We’ve got you covered.
